St. Vincent’s
Not to be confused with the St. Vincent de Paul cemeteries on Piety Street, this St. Vincent’s was originally chartered by the Congregation de la Mission in 1859. This Catholic cemetery on Soniat Street is a small neighborhood cemetery, with no notable burials or monuments. The cemetery was managed by St. Stephen’s Parish (Napoleon and Magazine) until 1966, when it was turned over to the Archdiocese.
One of the larger society tombs in this cemetery is a lodge mausoleum for the Helvetia Lodge of the Odd Fellows. Like most Odd Fellows’ monuments around town, it’s in pretty bad shape.
