Erected in 1917, this twelve-vault tomb features a policeman’s cap and badge.

D. H. Holmes Employee’s Benevolent Association

 

D. H. Holmes was a department store chain whose flagship store was on Canal Street.  The store was immortalized in John Kennedy Toole’s Confederacy of Dunces as the location where Ignatius Reilly used to meet his mother (under the clock at the entrance).
